Who We Are

UBrand, owned by Tireswing Ventures, LLC, is a consumer products company based in Burlingame, California. Dedicated to bringing easy and fun personalization to mass manufactured consumer products, we stand by the belief that consumers shouldn't be defined only by the brands they buy. UBrand strives to provide a personal element to the things we wear and carry around everyday, making them look more unique, more "U".

How We Began

Like so many other millions of travelers at the airport, founder Michelle Warford’s black luggage proved hard to differentiate in baggage claim. After almost watching her bag get carried off by another traveler, she decided there’s got to be a simpler, more efficient way to decorate luggage and make it easily identifiable. The year was 2005 and that’s when the idea for UBrand was born.

      Michelle’s idea was twofold:

• Aid travelers in identifying their luggage.
• Provide a way for people to personalize their bags in ways that are meaningful to them.

The ideal product had to look good, be able to handle the extremes of severe travel conditions, stick well to woven nylon fabrics and be a simple application. The result is the patent-pending UBrand label. Its 3-D polymer-based construction is water, temperature and UV resistant. The unique adhesive system is designed specifically to stick well to woven nylon fabrics and vinyl without damaging them. UBrand offers an instant do-it-yourself application (no sewing or ironing required) and is a semi-permanent means of personalization - easy to remove and replace but won’t come off until you take them off. UBrand labels work on luggage, backpacks, computer bags, gym bags, outdoor gear, jackets and snow gear, musical instrument cases, diaper bags, camera cases and so much more. Just stick one on any type of gear and it instantly becomes one of a kind.
